Arch Styles Project

The architectural style of the house I created was Colonial Revival. Colonial Revival buildings have symmetrical facades like the one above. They have front door sidelights with a columned porch and have double hung windows with shutters on the front face. Most also have cornice which I decided to include on the home. Most Colonial Revival houses have gabled roofs, but on the one story wings there are flat roofs with balustrades. These homes have fireplaces as well so I added one to both the floor plan and exterior. Even though the exterior is symmetrical, the interior is more open and unsymmetrical. Also, the bedrooms are upstairs in the home and the living area is downstairs in the home, like the floor plan I created.
